Install & Compatibility: What are the install requirements and where can the shower be installed?

What you’ll need:

  • Water pressures: 20 to 100 PSI (1.38 - 6.90 Bar)
  • Water Heater Temperature: Minimum 115° F / 46° C
  • Clearance: left to right of the shower arm 5"/ 13 cm
  • Clearance: from the shower arm to the ceiling: 4"/ 10 cm
  • Clearance: from the mixing valve trim to the shower arm 24.5"/ 62.23 cm
  • Overhead water outlet connection (EU adapter for low water connection available for purchase via the "Add-On" section of the survey, requires being screwed into the wall)
  • Wall surface cannot be slate material.

What's in the Box

European Style Showers (water outlet waist high or below):

  • In Europe, many showers have water outlets located around or below the waistline (a bar mixer). For these types of showers, we have developed a special European Adapter Kit which you can purchase as an "Add-On" via the BackerKit survey flow.
  • Please note that the European Adapter Kit will require screwing into your wall.

Australia:

  • All backers in Australia will receive a specialized kit allowing you to install Nebia 2.0 with the standard plumbing connection used throughout Australia.

Install & Compatibility: Will Nebia 2.0 be compatible with a waist level water outlets (common in Europe)?

The Nebia Spa Shower 2.0 is designed for compatibility with showers that have an overhead water outlet (common in North America). In Europe, many showers have water outlets located around or below the waistline (a bar mixer).

For these types of showers, we have developed a special European Adapter Kit which you can purchase as an "Add-On" via the BackerKit survey flow. Please note that the European Adapter Kit will require screwing into your wall.

Install & Compatibility: What comes in the box?

What's in the Box

All backers with delivery addresses within North America will receive ½ NPT pipe thread install kits. NPT stands for National Pipe Thread and ½ is the standard plumbing connection used throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

All backers with delivery addresses outside North America will receive ½ BSPT pipe thread install kits. BSPT stands for British Standard Pipe Thread and ½ is the standard plumbing connections used outside of North America.

Pledge Management & Add-Ons: How do I add items to my pledge?

You have the ability to add items to your pledge via the BackerKit survey flow by purchasing additional "Add-On" items.

These items (e.g., Nebia Spa Shower 2.0s, Nebia Shelves, or European Adapter Kits) are available to Kickstarter backers at discounted prices exclusive for Kickstarter backers.

Any items you add on to your pledge will not be charged until your pledge is locked (a few weeks before shipping).

Pledge Management & Add-Ons: How do I select the color of my Nebia 2.0 and/or Nebia Shelf?

During the survey flow, you will be asked to select your color choices (Matte Silver or Matte Black) for each item in your pledge as well as any additional add-ons you select.

Please note that for the Nebia Spa Shower 2.0, the shipping schedule will vary based on the color you select:

  • For backers in North America: the Matte Silver Nebia 2.0 will begin shipping in early summer 2019, and the Matte Black will begin shipping in late summer 2019.
  • If you have pledged for multiple Nebia 2.0s and you select different colors for each, they will likely ship separately at different dates.
  • For backers outside of North America: the Nebia 2.0 (both colors) will begin shipping in early fall 2019.

Pledge Management & Add-Ons: Will you offer more colors for Nebia 2.0?

Nebia 2.0 comes in two brand-new finishes, Matte Silver and Matte Black. At this time we are not planning on offering additional colors for this product.

Adding additional color SKUs is a large undertaking that would overly stress our supply chain, inventory management, and forecasting. We decided on Matte Silver and Matte Black as these were the top two requested colors from our customer over the years, and they look great in all bathrooms.

Pledge Management & Add-Ons: How do I pay for shipping?

Your shipping fee was included as part of your Kickstarter pledge based on the pledge tier and shipping country you selected during Kickstarter checkout process.

If you change your shipping country or add additional items to your pledge via the BackerKit survey, your shipping fee will be automatically recalculated and (if greater) you will need to pay the difference between the original and new shipping fee.

Pledge Management & Add-Ons: How do I make changes after completing my survey? (color selections, shipping address, add-on items, credit card information)

After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses (color selections, shipping address, add-on items, credit card information)at any time before we lock your survey a few weeks prior to shipping.

If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page.

If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please contact support via our BackerKit project page.

You’ll receive an email notifying you ahead of your survey being locked, so you can review your responses and make any final changes if necessary. Once your survey is locked, you will no longer be able to make changes to your order.

Warranty: Is there a warranty?

Both the Nebia Spa Shower 2.0 and the Nebia Shelf include a 4-year manufacturer's warranty from the date of delivery. If anything comes up, don’t worry we stand behind every product we make, just let our support team know, support@nebia.com, and we will take care of the rest.

Shipping: How will you know where to send my pledge?

We will know where to send your pledge items after you have completed your BackerKit survey. You will receive a reminder to confirm your delivery details before we ship. You can always update your information if you need to make a change before we finalize/lock your address.

Shipping: Can I pick up my pledge from your store/office to avoid the shipping cost?

Unfortunately, we cannot arrange for direct pickups of pledges in person. We have organized our fulfillment system to deliver large volumes to our customers around the world, and it is not designed to allow for manual pickups in our office.

Shipping: Why is international shipping so expensive?

The Nebia Spa Shower 2.0 is shipped in a very large box (29” x 24” x 11”), which makes it quite expensive to ship, especially internationally. We have worked hard to secure discounted shipping rates, and we pass these rates along to our backers.

Shipping: Will my pledge(s) ship in one box/all at the same time?

Both the Nebia Spa Shower 2.0 and the Nebia Shelf will ship separately.

If you have pledged for multiple Nebia 2.0 units and have selected different colors for each, the units will likely ship separately at different dates. See our Shipping Update or shipping section of the FAQ for more detail.

Shipping: Who is responsible for paying customs duties and taxes?

Pledges shipped outside of the United States will be responsible for any and all costs associated with import taxes, customs duties, or fees levied by the destination country. Nebia has no control over such charges and cannot estimate the exact amount. Please contact your local customs office for more information.

If you decline to pay these duties and taxes due to the carrier upon delivery of your Kickstarter pledge, the package may be considered abandoned, destroyed, or returned to the United States (at an extremely high cost charged to Nebia). Under these circumstances, we, unfortunately, cannot consider requests for replacement shipments or refunds.

Nebia 2.0 will be manufactured in the U.S. using high-grade sustainable aluminum with a powder coated Matte Silver and Matte Black finishes.

Product Qs: How is the Nebia Spa Shower 2.0 better than the original?

We took each piece of feedback from our community of customers and completely redesigned Nebia 2.0 for an even-better shower experience. The result is a hotter shower, with the feeling of more pressure, and better coverage.

More Heat - Nebia 2.0 is 29% warmer than Nebia 1.0.

Better Coverage - Nebia has twice the water coverage compared to conventional showers.

Higher Velocity - Nebia’s droplets come in contact with your skin 3X faster than standard shower heads.

Nebia 2.0 is also revamped for a much wider array of shower setups. We upgraded our proprietary pressure regulator so that homes with well-below average water pressure can still experience a great shower. This is a unique innovation that allows for a consistent experience across a wide range of water pressures. In addition, Nebia 2.0 maintains the signature spa feeling in the shower stall, while creating less humidity in the rest of the bathroom.

Refunds and Returns: What are your policies surrounding refunds and returns?

While all the Nebia Spa Shower Gen 2.0s and the Nebia Shelves are guaranteed for 4 years, we do not offer returns on items received as Kickstarter rewards.

Support we receive through Kickstarter enables us to bring new products to market, grow our business, interact with customers early and often, and improve our existing products. In the Kickstarter community, the items that you receive after making a pledge are referred to as "rewards" because they are not purchases in the traditional sense. They are gifts - in our case, a shower or a shower shelf - that are sent to our supporters as a token of appreciation for their support of our mission. In the same way that public television funds their service through the pledges of their supporters, who in turn receive gifts and continued programming, we have chosen to run and grow our business on a crowdfunded business model.

We appreciate your understanding of our policy and the support you have given us. Although we won’t allow returns once shipped, we will allow for refunds before we ship your product.

Pledge Management & Add-Ons: When will my survey be locked?

Your survey will be locked when your order is a few weeks away from shipping. You’ll receive an email notifying you ahead of your survey being locked, so you can review your responses and make any final changes if necessary. Once your survey is locked, you will no longer be able to make changes to your order.

If you choose to add additional items to your order via the survey process, you will be asked to provide your payment information. However, your card will not be charged until your order is locked a few weeks prior to shipping.

Shipping: When will my order ship? (Kickstarter Backers)

Nebia Spa Shower 2.0

  • Matte Silver will begin shipping to North American backers in early summer 2019
  • Matte Black will begin shipping to North American backers in late summer 2019
  • For backers outside of North America, shipping will begin in early fall 2019
  • Orders will be shipped in sequence of Kickstarter backer number (within the above constraints)
  • If you have multiple Nebia 2.0 units in your order and select different colors for each, they will likely be shipped at separate times.

Nebia Shelf

  • The Nebia Shelf will be shipped separately from the Nebia Spa Shower 2.0, and will begin shipping in early summer 2019

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.

When you reset your password, you may need to clear your cache and temporary browsing history so that your old password is removed from your saved passwords. Next, use this link to reset your password.

You may not have an account. You can create an account by clicking the account confirmation link in any survey you have. You can also get started with signing up for a BackerKit account here.

If you have created an account and have gone through the previous steps, but are still having trouble, please reach out to us via the contact form. Let us know any important details (browser type, mobile device or computer, OS, etc).

Do I need a BackerKit account to fill out/receive my survey?

You do not need a BackerKit account to access your surveys through BackerKit BackerKit accounts help to manage and keep track of surveys and are especially helpful for folks who have backed multiple projects.

Do I have an account?

You may or may not have an account set up, but you can access the Account Request Confirmation from the bottom of the confirmation page of any of your surveys.

How do I update my email address in my backer account?

Contact BackerKit support by signing in to your BackerKit account, and then clicking on “Need Help?” in the top right side of the page! We will ask you to verify that you are the account holder; and to provide the new email address to which you would like to update your account. You can verify by your ownership of your backer account by either of the following methods:

* Sending us an email from the old email address, specifying the new email address for your backer account.

* Sending us a screenshot of your original pledge that shows your backer number on Kickstarter (or Indiegogo, etc).

How do I delete my backer account?

While signed in to your BackerKit account, click on “Need Help?” on the top right side of the page.

If you delete your account, you will still be able to access your surveys in the future -- no account needed.

A backer account helps backers (like you!) to keep their surveys organized. Oftentimes, people who support projects that use crowdfunding support multiple projects across crowdfunding platforms. Any project that uses BackerKit will appear in your BackerKit account, and will allow you to help keep track of updates such as address, items, timelines, support, etc.
